Hmm, how? I don't know how to find specific leaks, only proof leaks entirely at the end. Aha! I think I may have found the illusionary. Sneaky bastard, I wonder what I was thinking making that brush an illusion. Bah. Yep that was it, problem solved, and damn does it look pretty. What's with a...

Didn't work.
There are leaks, plenty of them, since the map isnt finished yet. I still have openings and stuff. I've never had a leak cause my water to give me a nodraw effect though. It only seems to happen in Obsidian aswell. Other games I compile water fine.

I always thought it would be cooler to make an upside down map, with all the props static on the cieling, as though you were actually walking on the ceiling.and everything wasn't moving below you. Never had the time to actually try and make it look believable though.

I've done my cubemaps, but I haven't built them in game yet, should the problem be resolved after I do that?

Water giving me a nodraw effect?

Yup, I'm using some water in my map, but the water's surface gives the effect of a nodraw brush in game. No sure how to fix it, I noticed there's a new version of Obsidian out, I'm downloading it now, I'll see if anything changes after the install and re compile. Is this a known issue?

Can't get func_door to move in right direction

I have a func door being activated on the press of a button, I don't want it to move up or down, I need to to move towards me. Problem is, everything I try in the move direction options, I can get it to go everywhere BUT towards me. 0 0 90 gets it to move away from me. Can anyone help me? I'm tired ...

you just want a way to kill people with amusing possibilities, not saying its a bad thing, espically to watch a nade bounce in front of a combine then explode into thousands of crossbolts spearing every combine and opposing enemy within 10m! hahaha of course we do! Haha I think the thousands of cro...

Yeah, I agree with you on that, they aren't very useful, and the number of explosions they put out on one trip is pretty heavy for servers. We just wanted to use it because they aren't your average weapon, and would be interesting. Don't worry about it though, I think we found a solution. Though, a ...

Well what we had was the hopwire would hit the end of a vent, hop up and hit an angle, and ricochet into a room, the wires would shoot out, and npcs would be walking around doing work at computers, one would trip the wire, and boom the entire room would explode in a pretty cinematic effect. That's t...

Oh well, time to improvise.

Damnit, we had a whole puzzle built out for the use of hopwires, using their vertical bounce features. Damn shame I didn't check it out before we started building it. So you're telling me there's no way to do it?

Garry's not a dick, he's a good guy, just don't do dumb stuff, and be an intelligent person on the FP forums and you shouldn't have a problem, I haven't.
