Re: Maestro Fénix´s Factory (models showcase)
This might sound dumb, but I thought you couldn't replace the Half Life 2 arms because they were part of the weapon model?

Re: Black Mesa - Whatcha think about' it?
I liked what I played so far. I hated Blast Pit in the original. Some really weird easter eggs in it too. I found a cup with the chuckle brothers on. :S I like the weapon splatter effect. I remember that was meant to happen in Resident Evil 2, and it happened in the Suffering. Is one of those things...

Data Theft Map Concept
I have an idea for a map, and wondered if it was possible, and if so, if it would be of interest to players. A heist, let's say players raid a combine base. The goal is to steal something, let's say plans for a combine super weapon. Gameplay wise, the map would be in 3 or 4 stages. You go into an ar...

Double Door Crash
Very specific problem this. I'm remaking Resident Evil. I added double doors, but they wouldn't close. I added a IO to make them open together, that works, but when I try and make them close, HL2 locks up. Even force close doesn't work.

Request a L4D medkit
I will likely regret this, but during a brief moment of bordom I made some L4D medkits/backpack reskins for some people I know online. Porting maps
Long story short, I got to thinking of making a map, again. This time, my goal was to do a rough recreation of Resident Evil 1 with some slight random elements to keep it fresh. At first, I wanted to do it in Half Life 2, followed by a port to OC. A friend said it would make more sense to make it a ...

Re: Standard Rig/Scale
Well, it looks like I wont be making player/weapon models. While I think I could fix the file path for materials problem, the real issue is the blender-aource exporters dont seem to want to work. If I import then export the same model it works, but if I so much as move a vert, it spits out a screen ...

Re: Standard Rig/Scale
Many downloads and restarts later, I finally have it more or less working. Got a valve model, decompiled, scribled on the texture a bit, imported the model into blender, exported it again, compiled and put into OC. One note, is the tutorial on the wiki is a little out of date. Decompiler didn't work...

Custom Footsteps and Player Sounds?
While looking into source player models, I noticed OC has footstep and voice sounds for generic male, female and combine as a simple number for the ones you want, but is it possible to custom ones? It's not that I plan on using them for anything. I'm just curious and remember the old days of UT/Smod...

Re: Standard Rig/Scale
Obviously, the animations will only work with the skeleton they have been made originally. Right, I get that. But let's say that I want to make a new player model for Left 4 Dead. I want to make the model, rig it, and put it into L4D using the default survivor animations. All I can find on google i...

Standard Rig/Scale
I asked on Moddb a few days, and got no replies yet, so I thought I'd ask here. I'm trying out 3D modelling. I wondered if there is a standard rig that all Source human models need to use if I want it to use standard animations? The only stuff I could find involved editing an existing model which is...

Re: TS players rejoice!! Great GarrysMod model pack found!
Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm logged in so I might as well. I think the lack of interest is more due to people not wanting TS models in OC. I would like either a Viola player model, as well as others on this list. However, I don't want it enough to learn to do it myself, and don't want to ask...
