soundscripts.txt files

Well, I've hit a bit of a snag... although I don't know why. I have a test map I made, a while ago, when I first experimented with NPC's talking custom .wav's. It baffled me, until I was gloriously informed about the mapname_soundscripts.txt file you put into the cfg folder under maps. Works great! ...

Well, it's sort of a good news, bad news situation. I lost almost two weeks, because my motherboard essentially exploded... "Explode" isn't the right term, more like "Implode." Long story short, I'm up and running again, at equal or greater capacity, with my data more or less bac...

Looks like we're leaning completely toward option A. The good news is, I would hope the next two maps will go smoother; being that most of the "experimental" stuff I've done is complete. And as for custom weapon scripts, I don't really have the mental fortitude to dabble in those at the mo...

The second map of the series, featured here, will be upkeep/repair of the facility, so that the enemy shields may be weakened enough to beam aboard. Failure to do so will result in game_end and the third map will not be loaded. The first map will be a "holodeck" style simulation featuring ...

OC_CANNON Update

Alright, as you can see by this hasty little teaser, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6Y1YgfS_sU Work on oc_cannon still progresses, no matter what some may say. But I do have some good news/bad news. First, the bad news. I'm pretty much out of room for ents, and I haven't put all the stuff I need to...

It's suitable as a prop_static, so I would wager none.

Yeah, too bad I never see any servers running it...

No matter, it's kindof gotten obsolete with the latest updates anyways.

Looking ahead to better things....

Cool! We need more female models too.

See if you can import Pisha too, that would be a prime choice. Especially if you can pull off the glowing pupils.

Keep up the good work!

Well, I found out what the problem is, and developed a "workaround", although I don't know how much use it will be in the end... Problem is that the game will only use and precache sounds intended for speech when they are in the game_sounds.txt file, or subsiduaries. My scenes work great, ...

Yeah. Overcomplicated. Basically, the clipping tool is used to shear off solids at straight angles. I almost never use it, unless i'm in a bind. It looks like that block with a slice out of it on the vertical menu to your left. If I were to make that door, follow their instructions to make the door,...

Faceposer precache problem

Hey, I was wondering if something had changed, and I just missed it, or if there was an issue with obsidian. I make my sound files, I sync em up, make the .vcd, and go to try it in a map. When the sequence starts, they go through the animations, but no sound or lip-syncing is present. The console sa...
