Re: cnc_onslaught (Now Accepting beta testers, PM me)
Well, I mean... If I can't I'll just release the .vmf... But like.... It won't have ANY assets as I no longer have any of them.

Re: cnc_onslaught (Now Accepting beta testers, PM me)
Um... So... Yeah... About to go Underway > Laptop BIOS mysteriously bricks > RAID 0/1 Config HDDs also unrecoverable > Profit!!! (But not really because all of the assets and the latest vmf were on that setup) So... I'm still trying to piece together (still as in the past 10 months) what to do about...

Forcing custom textures
I'm tired of having a urban camo HGrunt in the desert. Is there anyway there can be a feature added to tell the game to look for a NPC's textures in a specified folder instead of the default one directed by the .mdl? I want high resolution desert camo for my hgrunts dammit!

Re: cnc_onslaught (Now Accepting beta testers, PM me)
The only problem with vehicles is brush vehicles are too hacky. Even with models I'd much rather Obsidian have some sort of official scripting or built in ent support for it, if they did I could do a lot more, darkkanex made all kinds of CNC models, MLRS, Humvee's Bradley IFV's etc. http://www.cnc-s...

From what I understand it was UV mapped and textured.

Re: cnc_onslaught (Now Accepting beta testers, PM me)
Yes it's sketchup, you can actually import sketchup files to mdls but I find them very unoptimized and clunky to work with. If anything, it's the poor & lazy man's modeling tool :lmao: Agree'd, first off, I tried getting models, with lack of resources it stalled this map A YEAR. frak that, you ...

Re: cnc_onslaught (Now Accepting beta testers, PM me)
I'll see what I can do about shorting it by just under 1.7 hours. As for the npcs they will have CNC themed names I want a good variety of npcs here. Although I would like to do vehicles, such a feat would be overly buggy and not fit into the game play as they are composed of FAR too many ents to pu...

Re: cnc_onslaught
Ok, so I'm trying to come up with new more creative ways to make the players life miserable. Here is the current order of things: Start ready time - 15 min Antlions and Zombies - 5 min rest - 5 min Antlions and Zombies all out - 7 min Break - 7 min Combine - 6 min rest - 5 Combine all out - 8 Break ...

Re: cnc_onslaught
This is fraking awesome! Oh, yeah 1st wave is done after 3 hours of trying to get assault to work and just giving up and sticking with path_corner in the center of map. They travel in a line which is also kinda lame but I'll just spread them out. Anyone know how to force the NPC to keep going for th...

Re: cnc_onslaught
Now the reason I stopped waiting was one of two things. 1. I want to finish it 2. I have another, more epic map partially put together (it was an experiment i did a few weeks back) exercising all of the new, awesome techiques and skills I have developed and sharpened while making this map. As well a...
