Digital 'Use' vs. Analogue 'Use'.
Everyone is familiar with the digital 'Use' within the game, where you move up to a button, door etc, and hit 'Use' and, assuming the appropriate prerequisites have been met, the button activates, the door opens etc, etc. I'm happy with that. Now we come to the Analogue 'Use', where you walk up to t...

Removing 1.2
I've a couple of systems that haven't been used for a while, and I want to upgrade them to 1.23. They currently have 1.2 on them, which I want to remove before installing the 1.22 full install and the 1.23 patch. However, I can't work out how to remove 1.2 from steam before I begin. No right clickin...

What I would recommend is using a math_counter. Here's what you do: <cut> EDIT: Oh, but one thing I forgot to note is that for the above example, you need to make sure the button has an auto-reset. IE it's not toggling. ;) Works a treat thanks. I've actually left one switch toggling at the moment, ...

multicompare help needed
Anyone got experience of multicompare? I'm working on a puzzle that involves 2 people having to activate separate switches at the same time. I'm using 2 buttons feeding a multicompare with the multicompare driving the door. Trouble is that the bloody door keeps opening on one switch. Should you use ...

Setting up the SDK with Orange Box. Bit of advice.
If you're setting up the Obsidian SDK on a system that's had the Orange Box installed, ensure you set up and run the Source SDK with the launch option "-engine ep1" (remove quotes) before you even start. Until you do that, the only gameconfig.txt in the Steam directories is the Orange Box ...

You game config seems fine, Although I'm not sure v1.23 of Obsidian's SDK is suited to using Orangebox, I'd recomened sticking with the ep1 engine? I'm not 100% sure, give me some time later tonight and I'll check some things out. I's be happy use the Ep 1 solution, and tried that, only to find tha...

Orange Box + XP64 = Argh
Has anyone managed to get the SDK running on a 64bit system that has the Orange Box installed? I've mapped in the past, but have just upgraded to a new system running XP64. Issues. 1. A gameconfig.txt with fewer entries, not including references to the directories indicated in the OC SDK setup guide...
