I dont have orange box / Ep2 so how do I play the mod?

So after downloading the mod and my friend telling me how great this harvest moon map was. I log on to play. It goes to 1 bar left for me to play, then it just shuts itself down. Doesnt say anything just closes itself. After much screwing around we find out I have to have orange box / ep2. Now me being poor and unable to buy ep2 is there anyway AT ALL to get around havin to spend w/e amount for that game and just be able to play.

Or is the problem I am having not ep2 but some technical error? PLZ HELP!!!

It could be the map, but most likely you need episode 2. It could also be that your computer is out of date.

Cant be the map since there are so many people playing right now and so many ppl coming in and out. It's the harvest moon map.

So i can basically run tf2 and half life 2 along with mmo games like Age of Conan just fine.

If I seriously have to buy episode 2 just to play this mod, this may kill a lot of traffic to this mod. Not everyone is gonna jump on the orange box / ep 2 train and get it just to play this mod. Hell I just bought tf2 and played the rest of 360.

basicly all you need is Source SDK Base - Orangebox

the rest is rather optional, some maps require some mounts tough

oc_harvest for example need CS:S mounted (normally ep2 too but all needed files from it are already added so you don't need ep2 for it)

Are you getting a mem dump? Its a file in the source sdk base 2007 folder created after the mod closed. Ill take a look at it if you can find it.

So I reinstalled the game and cs:s and updated both. I start up harvestmoon and try to play it. It still does the same exact thing. Says sending info has 1 more bar to go. Then it just turns itself off yet again. I even went to the mod options and clicked that I had both hl 2 and cs:s installed.

What the hell do i do?
