Flashlight lags.......

I haven't played OC for ages! The only thing I can complain about is just the flashlight, I don't know if it's an update for HL2 or from one of the other episodes.... but it lags my computer because it "wraps light around objects.
And that kills my computer's performance.

I don't think my hard ware is bad, but I'll put this up anyway.

Oh yes it is, you wont get far with an ancient geforce 6200 and a 2Ghz SINGLE core CPU.

And oc is using the orangebox engine now, which is heavier on the system than the old hl2 or ep1 engine, which makes it even worse. What you can try though is setting shadow detail to medium or low, when its on high your flashlight will cast dynamic shadows and these are pretty expensive to render.

Lower "Shadows" in the menu to "low", it should help a bit.
