Help with Oc_Paysan?
Help with Oc_Paysan?
I've downloaded this version of oc_paysan_B11 http://mapdb.obsidianconflict.net/map:paysan, I do own HL2 and EP2, and have checked them in the mod options, yet, the ground and other stuff stay pink and black. I tried searching for a fix, but didn't found much, I found this dead link tho, http://steevmau.free.fr/oc/PACK_B02.rar, supposed to be a map pack, I think?
I think the game is not understading that I have EP2.
How can I fix this?
edit: Currently trying to mount files.
edit2: Didn't work,

Re: Help with Oc_Paysan?
Here's a workaround for the mounting problem: http://obsidianconflict.net/forums/view ... f=1&t=5106
Re: Help with Oc_Paysan?
That's what I tried, it didn't work, I linked the cstrike, hl2, episodic, lost coast and ep2 files, and it still is all glichty, maybe I did something wrong? Also, I didn't really get why you need to put the vpk files in the same folder, and open the _dir ones in GSFScape...

Re: Help with Oc_Paysan?
Because Source 2007 can't read VPK and not longer reads GCF (THANKS VALVE), that's why you have to extract the contents into the game folders and then link them to the Source SDK Base 2007 folder.

You aren't the first with oc_paysan. Load a EP2 or CS:S map to see if it mounts the contents.
Note: You still having to check the games to mount at mod options.

I guess screenshots on doing the steps to fixing the mounting could help him a tiny bit. I had a few people saying the text gets confusing.

What another choice we left?daunknownman2010 wrote:I guess screenshots on doing the steps to fixing the mounting could help him a tiny bit. I had a few people saying the text gets confusing.
I will do those when I can.
EDIT: Done, go take a look and tell me what do you think.

Re: Help with Oc_Paysan?
Not sure if I am correct on this but isn't the mapDB version of paysan incomplete and missing some textures?

Re: Help with Oc_Paysan?
I don't remember correctly, but I believe that the one at the Map Pack works.Ny wrote:Not sure if I am correct on this but isn't the mapDB version of paysan incomplete and missing some textures?
Re: Help with Oc_Paysan?
It worked guys, thanks for the help!
Re: Help with Oc_Paysan?
Sorry to reopen this, but after following the steps to fix the mounting workaround I am still having trouble getting Paysan to work.
I've tried everything I have found on google to get this to work and it's starting to annoy me.
Edit: Sorry for this, turns out I made my links slightly incorrect which messes everything up.
Still, would be good if people didn't need to mess around this much for mounting to work right.

Re: Help with Oc_Paysan?
Obsidian Conflict is in hibernation and there will be no SteamPipe fix for awhile until they have enough time again. The mounting fixes are needed for now until they manage to port everything to Source 2013 with SteamPipe support, etc.
