Working on it. I can't see all the progress on it, but when ever I get new information on it's progress, I update the Ion Rifle Dev thread.

this would be Intresting if it was RED with RED energy packets. but you already made it green, maybe there could be stations were it could be "hooked" up and become a turret.

No, the batteries are green, the gun's firing effects are blue.

I know that's all to make it look good, but seriously it makes no goddamn sense!

Just have all the ammo and effects and bullets and all of that one color, but then just have different color schemes on the design. Maybe the rebels decided to draw some caution signs on a side, or maybe the combine wanted to add some red smiley face, just because they can. Honestly it looks fine as it is, and I'm about 80% sure that those batteries ARE combine battaries, but the HEV suit was suited to draw power from the combine's sources...

It's only one gun, it shouldn't have every color of a rainbow in it.

You don't seem to understand. The ammo cells are green to distinguish them from combine batteries. The firing effect is blue because.. well because the firing effect for all combine energy weapons is blue.

The whole reason it isn't dark blue is to help distinguish it from the armor battery.

Ion Rifle or Plasma Rifle?, this is just the name, not anything that effects the weapon it's self, and acording the the sound files, it's proper name is Ion.
