I think it is if people are turning away from the mod just because they dislike a few player models.

Add it to the Software license agreement in the Installer for OC.

Problem with that is, no one reads that agreement page.

Then do what Google do and put in large red text:

READ THIS! THIS IS IMPORTANT!

Now, if you have the installer on a dark background like this, the text stands out.

Hmm, interesting, when the page loaded, out of everything, I read that first... I suppose while we are at it, we could make it a pop-up. That would flood the screen with thousands of windows.

Well, there needs to be some way of telling people this information.

How about write them down and tell players while they are waiting for a server to change level?

Oh, we could have something that displays random tips during loading like some games do.

But sadly I don't think this would help, you need people to have this information before even downloading the mod.

Too much to mention really.

I guess I knew a co-op mod would have to have a lot of npcs to keep things fresh. As it happens OC just about has them all and then some.

And it would have to have some well thought out maps.
(I played docks and thought this was the right way to go with co-op, though docks is probably public spammed to death now).

But everything I like, really.

quantity & quality of maps.
levelselection maps.
npcs.
hls support.
episode support + other mounts.
mapadd system.
other scripts like weapons and sounds.
& yah I never downloaded custom skins models because I thought what is the point if you can't show off them to others. Basically I wasn't a fan of playermodels but soon became one!

+ community I like it here. All sorts of shit and non shit gets discussed on these here forums.

P.s I love custom colours! YAY!

Something I would like, is the ability to drag HUD elements where ever I wanted them on screen. Not sure how the HUD is coded, so not sure how hard this would be.

And fug, if you run out of O.C. NPCs, make some out of brushes. That's what I do.

I betcha that'd be difficult as hell. Sounds like a plan, but I can't really imagine where else to conveniently put HUD elements, other than putting the ammo, hp, and such on one side of the screen or something.

Curious?

I found it once when i read HLportal News.Obsidian Conflict, whats that?
Well i found out it is a Co-op Mod and i instantly downloaded it when i saw the Gameplay of this Masterpiece on Youtube.
This Mod deserves way more Players.
It is endless Fun because:
-It doesnt focus too much on the HL2 Campaign
-a lot of Custom Stuff including the "Impossible" codeable(<-, right?)
Hydra.
-Shitloads of Maps
-Character "DLC's"
-Big Community, even when there are only about 25 Players playing it everytime.
(A Question:Was the HQ Grunt Models made by OC or someone else?)

The thing that brought me to OC was when I was browsing Tysn FPSBanana page (looking for more ZM maps) and saw oc_harvest. Being a HM fan I clicked this :P

But the thing that kept me was the wide range of maps, so many different themes, styles and gameplay
