i think steamworks will suck:
They were removed at the request of Valve, smith.
If we didn't remove them, we would've had to get the authors of all the models to sign an agreement.
i ask in syn forums about the removal reason of their new guns and some content and got that answer.

This mod (OC) uses hl2leak content (sniper, gauss, alyx gun...) maybe those bastards of valve will "request" to remove that awesome content to use their shit steamworks made of pure fail and extreme control and retard restrictions. :lmao:

there's something suspicious in steamworks, free things offered by brainless/money fanatic corporations have a "benefit" somewhere and obviously steamworks needs server (and server = $$$$) to host content and that's not free.

well then i go over to request to them to make a extra gcf which includes that content (maybe for 10$ or whatever to make them happy[/sarcasm])

Hmm... looks like we're ahead in the polls by a little bit...

BTW Neico, it looks like if you use that link in Firefox, by middle clicking or ctrl+clicking, it'll open it in a new tab, allowing you to open it again in another tab, and again in another tab, and thus vote a whole bunch of times very very quickly. I voted a couple times like this, but it would be possible to really abuse it.

Of course copyright is getting much more looked at once something is officially available on steam, Because valve would get into some trouble if they offer copyrighted material that doesnt belong to them without the authors permission on steam.

So there would be a lot of stuff to do if oc would get steamworks support, but the massive playerbase we would get would sure be worth it.

But... from the current situation it looks like it wont come that far, i wont say more, our coders should have the "honor" to do so.

all of the mods basically blew up overnight, its pretty cool, there aren't enough servers to support players.

I just voted but latest polls show OC ahead by over 300 votes!

Pirates, Vikings, & Knights II 155

Fortress Forever 97

Stargate: Legacy 27

Dystopia 322

Reistance & Liberation 104

Eternal Silence 44

Obsidian Conflict 659

Empires 128

Steamworks is a secret advertising campaign for the Source engine as you'd have to buy any of the source games to play the mod therefore building Valves revenue

lmao tru.dat, for example syn needs all valve games to be played, all servers request ep2 content and some SIN episodes

...to play hl2 campaign... and those idiots of syn dev won't make a better dynamic mount system to "fix" this "improvement"
