This is completely different from the "tang" weapon.

Also, I am thinking for this weapon;

Primary fire Damage is 5 per round, so 15 per shot(3 round burst).
So to take a person's health all the way down, it would need about 6 or 7 shots.
One charged shot kill the player(takes down both shields and health), as much damage as if all the rounds where fired at once and more(120 + 80 = 200 damage a charged shot).

now thats an all field gun is usefull against weakend enemies. or the enemies you want to get rid of in 1 shot wen you have to go through something. nice thinking.

Huh?

The charged shot takes a while to charge and uses your entire clip.

Plus, 200 is barely enough to take down some NPCs.

if i see it wel aimed shots are good also.
at least the full clip shot is good enough to kill the basic enemies out of the ways if your in a hurry.

Well, the damage per projectile is not in stone yet, so it can always be changed, we really can't be sure until we start beta testing the weapon.

Worfox said he would do the animations, so I suppose I'll do the design and do what I can with Neico to code the weapon.

Anyone is welcome to help though.

Well, this was an idea I had, I was going to work on it if enough people liked it and so many liked it so much, that it's going to be released as a Official Obsidian Conflict weapon :D

Erm shouldn't your sig read 'Plasma rifle' and not 'plama'?

And I'm with Makrontt, combine gaurd rifle effects ftw!

Just make all of the effects/sounds/etc exactly like the autogun and you should be good. Maybe tone everything done a bit to go with the whole less damage/running off a battery idea.

If you need any help with sound editing or texturing feel free to ask.

Also it seems the cannon is an "ion" cannon.

Or at least that is what valve calls it.

So should we keep the name "Plasma Rifle" or name it "Ion Rfile"?
