Ion Rifle
Because of recent scale tests, it seems that the current battery model might not work, so I came up with this, please ignore the lack of textures and antiasing.

Logic/Story:
For certain Combine devices that require large amounts of power but most still need to be portable such as lights, a compressed Dark Energy Battery was created, slightly smaller then the current battery used in devices such City Scanners, though because of the super dense-alloy used for the outer shell, it weighs to much for those devices.

And for the release of it, I am unsure, I don't talk to fox often, ether he doesn't like to talk to me or I always talk to him while he is busy.
But the model needs to be made, really only animations have to be.
These things need to be done:
Model:
Edit the model that is already there, which is simple.
Rig it so it can properly attach to the player.
Animate it, which is relatively simple.
Code it(sorta Neico's job, but it just needs values changed, I could do it if I could get a copy of a C++ Weapon script)

You could have it stick out straight down from where you wanted the battery originally, and have a *poof* & *fizz* noise whenever a battery is ejected.
Maybe another thing you could do is have the batteries be extremely unstable so while reloading if you press fire you can smash it against the gun to crack it and then throw it out so it explodes in a huge green bang.
I kinda think of your gun as a really bad@$$ support gun like the egon cannon.

since the combine like to give there guns long names I would like an "official" name to be something like Dark Energy Suppression Cannon - DESC so on screen it would say

Like how they do that for the AR2. I will try to edit the HL2:EP2 Auto cannon mats to look a bit more high def. (Yes I know this is a bump but the topic is still on the first page and its 17 topics down not counting the stickies)
