Hey, I'm new and didn't know where to post this so I decided General would be good. Some of you might have seen me on some servers, so I decided to join the forums. Hope to have a good time, and I'm also a beginner mapper too.

But I can't seem to load the Obsidian SDK in hammer, as it says comes up with that "The configuration information for the game you're trying to edit is invalid or missing" and when I click Run Anyway, a error message comes up saying "gameinfo.txt doesn't exist in d:\program files\steam\steamapps\*****\SourceMods\Obsidian."

If anyone could help me on that issue, I would be greatly thankful.

Hello, and welcome to the forums! Can you post a picture of your hammer config menu for Obsidian? I haven't gotten that error before, so I can't really tell what the problem is yet.

The thing is, I can't even get to config it in hammer, since when I try to start hammer up with Obsidian, it comes up with the errors.

I got that error when i entered the wrong path in the GameConfig file. Are you sure that your sourcemods folder is in your username folder?
Mine is
"c:\program files\steam\steamapps\SourceMods\Obsidian"

So in the GameConfig file it should say
"GameDir" "c:\program files\steam\steamapps\SourceMods\Obsidian"

Good point, I didn't notice that it appears his sourcemods folder is under his username folder, which it should't be.

Yea, my sourcemods folder has always been under my username folder. And I definitely put in the right path in the GameConfig file.

Edit: DOH! I just double checked and your right. My username folder is only for official games. Thanks alot guys, it's working perfectly :)

Weird, i will have a play around with the files tomorrow and see what situations cause that error and hopefully come up with something to help.
