using the wiki would help you more, and us less writing...

http://wiki.neic0.de/?title=Category:ServerOP

that link is also on the downloads section under dedicated server on the homepage >.>

Install: http://www.steampowered.com/download/hldsupdatetool.exe

Create a bat file and throw this inside: hldsupdatetool -command update -game "tf" -dir C:\***srcds folder*** And run the bat, with the ***srcds folder*** changed to your srcds directory. This will download TF2 content so it sets up your directories.

While your at it, download "Counter-Strike Source" content as well. Just replace the "tf" with "Counter-Strike Source" and run the bat again.

You should now have an orangebox folder. Before you enter this folder right click on the "hl2" folder which was downloaded by the hldsupdatetool when you downloaded CS:S and press copy.

Enter the orangebox folder and paste the hl2 folder you copied previously. You will need this for models and such.

Inside the orangebox folder, create two new folders, "ep2" and "episodic"

This made little to no sense, it is poorly written as a matter of fact terrible. The garrysmod wiki was clearly stated and could be followed with a matter of ease. This is bull, I am terribly confused I installed hldsupdatetool to D:\SRCDS but now I'm terribly confused on where to go from now. Can anyone help?

EDIT: Actualyl I just read the gmod wiki again and I could make some sense of this, I'll report back if I find myself in a problem.

Well I followed the guide exactly and I used this to start it up, srcds.exe -console -game obsidian +map oc_docks.bsp +maxplayers 6 -autoupdate
Nobody can join from my external ip adress but I did connect 192.168.0.155 which is my server's lan ip and I can connect fine. Is something wrong with this thing or what?

Also the correct ports are open for the server, so there is no problem there.
