Is this mod dead?

I have just installed version 1.34 of this mod, it's also my first time ever playing this mod. I downloaded this mod because Syner.gy is dead, and this one seemed alot better. But, when I enter the game, what do I see? 16 servers. Honestly. I must be doing something wrong, or this is even more dead than S.ynergy. The server with the most people had 3 people, including myself. So, I ask you, is this dead?

We've been happily ticking along for a few years now, people come, people go.
We don't have 99 servers like synergy, but we have fun when we get together and do our co-op thang.
Facepunch, nah. But w/e...

We scrape by. And most of us have been to or are active facepunch members. This mod has really gone from being a popular mod to a really community based one.
