using player models

Ok, so I downloaded a model pack from these forums, I installed everything correctly. But I haven't seen how you use them exactly. Like how do you apply the skin?

This. I dont get why some people mess up on this. Its just putting the materials and models folder from the rar/zip file into your sourcemods/obsidian folder.
