Basically I want to know which guns from the following games may have been used by the USSR during the Cold War:

HL2 Series
DOD:S
CS:S
Any other source game that might have 'em.

So far I would imagine CS:S's AK47 (HL=AR1?). I haven't played CS:S enough to know of any other weapons though. Help me out.

AK 47 is a definite, as well as the M3 shotgun. If you want to spread out a little; MP5 can be put in the same era (Used by the SAS) and possibly the M4A1 (Although I'm sure a different model was used).

Nothing from the general HL2 series (unless you count the crowbar xD) and from DoD:S I'm pretty sure the M1 was still being used by some Americans until the 1980s or so

hmm, tricky, not many. There's a lot of custom dod weapons out thar with soviet models. But that's about it.

How well do the M3 shotgun and Galil (IDF Defender) work as scripted weapons?

The AK47 was a definite and I know it works in OC, although I'm packing the small amount of CSS weapons with the map rather than requiring it to be mounted.

That is true, and I have gotten it confused with the name of a machine gun of a similar name.

Found a link for most of the infantry weapons used in the cold war:

PPSH-41, dammit.
Plus, there may be a custom SKS model out there.

The USP Match (Metrocop pistol) is a Heckler and Koch and was in major use 1989–1992 in US and Europe

SMG 1 is the MP7, anther H&K weapon.

The .357 is mainly used by criminals and not soviets.

The AR2 is Combine Technology, so the Soviets are not going to use that.

Shotgun is SPAS-12, italian, not used in Russia.
