i got a couple of questions about OC, first i want to know if low violence/german/hi-res-mod content is accesible from OC, second, is it possible to host a server that doesnt allow custom skins (unless they are for existing characters, which are only noticed by the player)?

1. Why would you want the low content version?

2. It's your server, what you see is what you get. What everyone else see's is up to them.

I just prefer the low violence mode. also this is going to be a private server so its not like everybody will notice,

also, how do you get the level to change automatically when you reach a map change area?

well i am not sure if there is a mod available for that, but somebody could just retexture the blood for you to look black or transparent.

We disabled all the censoring crap in oc´s code so even people with a censored version will have oc uncensored. All you could do would be to get the low violence materials for grey blood etc. and put them into the obsidian folder, but thats all, Ragdolls will still stay, zombies will scream while burning and you get full gibs.

And no, its not possible to host a server that doesnt allow custom skins, why would you want that anyways? let the players have their game look like the way they want it, it doesnt affect you.

im didnt say i was german, i just said the german version. Goodness...

anyways for coop im just going to use coop maps in half life 2 deathmatch, unless somebody can provide a version of oc or a mod compatible with oc maps that still has low violence settings and has toggleable custom skin support in servers, if at all

As for the Toggable custom skin support in servers, you can't control how people see, it's up to them, You cannot control it, simple as.

I doubt that'll ever happen. Do you know how many people use custom player models?

Also censoring = bad. Why would you want that?
