I resently download the new 1.35 (congrats with this release).
I opend it up and played a map it all looked very promosing.
But then i loaded another map with my mods mounted and as resolut i got a really buggy screen.
I could look threw the walls sometimes had a semi transparent gun and at other points my screen became totally black. Even the menu's where not working properly.
I do use an ATI Graphics Card and i tryed it with both normal as the ati static mounting fix but i always got the same result.
I think this is something for the devs to look at so it can be fixed in the next steam release.
In case someone is wondering i was not experiancing this problem in any other mod or source engine game.
Good luck with the fix and if you need any more information just request so i am able to try some stuff out if needed.
Henky!!

Source engine problem only valve can fix.

It is engine related; the devs can fix it, only Valve can. It is a problem with mounting content which isn't used in many games (hence why you never had this problem in other source games).

load a non mount required map first time around. Then, either use changelevel to change maps or join a server.
No ati fix in mod options.

Can't we just have a bot that posts the info?

Yeah, I have this problem often in GMOD. Only a handful of times had it happen in O.C.

I also use an ATI card, and for some reason I've found a relative fix. This happens fairly often for me on Umizuri. When the problem shows up if you go into options, video, advanced, and change texture detail to medium, then high, then medium again it suddenly fixes everything. Weird, but it works..for some reason.

It seems like you can put them back to whatever after you do that, I usually reset them to high, but for some reason the act of changing them back and forth seems to refresh the textures for some reason. I have no idea why.

Nice find.
And thanks for the info guys.
It seems that im now getting it in synergy as well.
I dont have this graphicscard so long so thats probabbly the reason why i have not run into it earlyer.
Maby some of the coders of this mod can code one of the ways around in for ati users.
Like a button Ati Fix in the menu that automaticly fixes it by changeing the details for example.
