I found this MOD because a sven coop server transfer to OC server.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First time , I see the server info.
Image

My eye watch at the first clue "Classic Co-op"
Classic Co-op? Sound like it is a HL1 mod.
Searching "Classic Co-op" at Steam Store Mod Search.............???.................Not Found
Image

Searching "Classic Co-op" at Yahoo! Search machine.............???............No Mod Found
Image

After , I watch at the second clue "oc"
Maybe a mod game's prefix "O" will show at Steam Store.
But....................Not found any MOD has a "O" prefix.

I think , "maybe it is a Plugin of Sven Co-op" (I want to gave up at first)
Suddenly , I think of I can visit the forum of Cartman Server.

Finally , I found the Mod's full name "Obsidian Conflict" , I also got astonished because it is a HL2 mod but my thought is HL1 mod.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why this excellent mod is so hard to search?

I try to enter the key word "Obsidian Conflict" at Steam Store Mod Search:

Not found , so it didn't show on steam store because it is small game?
NO , A smaller game mod is show on Mods Search too.
(Riot Act is a HL2 mod game , it is smaller than OC , but it shows on Steam Mod Search.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sum up:

1. The GAME name "Classic Co-op" isn't very conspicuous on game searching.
It must be this Example: (Sven Co-op 4.5's GAME name is Sven Co-op 4.5, Obsidian Conflict 1.35's GAME name must be Obsidian Conflict)

2. OC should put a link on Steam's Mod Search.

About the first, you have right. The only way to see what mod is playing is seeing that person in friend´s list to see "In a mod; Obsidian Conflict beta 1.35" (beta?).

The second is because the mod dont use yet Steamworks. Only a few mods are in Steam. You can find ALL the mods in ModDB, HL2 mods/HL2EP2 mods.

Not every single mod is on steam, OC isnt, but its going to be on next version
Also you can find OC from Moddb, (if you check mods from moddb, you'll notice that there is a lot of mods that arent on steam)

Classic co-op is a gamemode, not related to HL1 in any way.

also if you want to know what OC is about, instead of asking straight on forums, you could just check the main page
( http://obsidianconflict.net/?page=about )

the Game Part in the Server info is called GameDescription, and can be changed like GMod does (Sandbox, Deathmath, HL2 Campaign, etc.), so basically it only reffers to the Gamemode as Andrax said... (I wonder why it's being called classic tough maybe that will change at some point)

also there are ways to get listed on the steam store site, even tough if you don't have steamworks access, at least that's how some mods showed up there some time ago.
Why OC doesn't has it? No idea only Skidz could answer that...

to that Yahoo search, no idea if it is able to find OC but if you enter OC or something related to the mod you'll get here pretty fast when using google~

I thought Classic Co-op was the name of one of OC's gamemodes.
