Hi, long ago my friends and I played oc_harvest, and we've had the itch to play something similar. I downloaded oc_paysan a while ago and we never played that, but now when I try to open it I have the purple/black checkerboard and big red error sign issue. What confuses me is that every other map I've loaded looks fine and I have everything mounted, is there something else I can try to fix it or is the map just broken?

I checked the paysan thread and it's been a while since anyone's posted in it but I tried a recent fix that worked for someone with the same problem that did not work for me.

The last time the map was updated was in 2010. And it has been always unstable. Is just broken.

Gonna check if their Map Database page also says that is broken.

If I remember correctly the map needs a crapload of extra to work due to the assets not being packed into the map. There should be a link to it somewhere in the thread itself

Has there been a game changing thing recently that would have broken the map? I was not having this problem when I loaded it up for a few minutes a few months ago.

Well I couldn't find anything like that, and all the old versions of the map are 404s, so I guess I'm out of luck?

Have you used Neico's script yet? It fixes mounting problems from Steampipe.
It's the only way to get EP2 maps or any maps that need a certain mount working without texture errors or missing models.

He said that other maps works fine, and that their mount system works.

Is the custom content of this map, it always gave problems.

Yes, this is the only map that is giving me trouble, though I could try the script. Is it here?

Ah, I just connected to a server with the custom content packed correctly. It seems I was only missing his avatar on the TV screen...
So Maestro Fenix was correct !

Question: It was on a russian server?

They have all the cool stuff, but they don't share it, because they don't know english. If yes, try to get these files and send them to me. I'll upload them to the Map Database to avoid this.

I got it from a Japanese server.

I'll go find the textures and send them in a zip or another file if you want.
EDIT: I looked at the files and it seems everything is the same from the download
EDIT2: It looks like the client doesn't use the textures or even download them... Something on that Japanese server seemed to make the textures load and download :/

They must do like these russian servers do with Minerva for example: download only the vital stuff, the rest in on the server.

If only they knew english...

I noticed a res file that appeared AFTER I joined the Japanese server.
I tested it and it seems to make the client and server load the resources for the map.

I will get a download link to the file soon

I'm having trouble understanding everything that's being discussed but this sounds like progress, so yay.

Yes it is progress. As soon as I can get a download for the res file, it should hopefully fix your problems.
