Hey guys, I've been playing obsidian conflict for a while now and i love, the thing is I'm in South Africa and really want to play with my friends over internet.

The thing is, we have problems using hamachi and I was thinking of creating an internet game for us to play on.

The thing is i dunno how, could someone plz explain how, or suggest any other method.

PS. Not a dedicated server, just a normal server for internet gaming

Under the Main Menu of OC select create server.

Fill in the info it asks, press start.

Check the server List, if it is not there go into the Console

(default button is left of "1" if you can't open it go into option, go under advanced and select "enable Developer's console")

When in the console type "sv_lan 0" (no ""s) press enter, then type in "heartbeat" (No ""s) and press enter,

check the server list again to see if it is there. If It is not there, I'm not sure what is wrong.

As for hamachi, in the case of steam, no matter what everone on the lan line must have a unique steam account. Valves gay rules

Ok, thanx for the help so far, but, I created a server, set sv_lan to 0 and typed heartbeat in the console. I clicked find servers but the game still doesnt show up under internet games... so

Any suggestions much appreciated... (what does heartbeat actually do? out of cuiosity)

It takes awhile before it shows up on the list

Soz for being such a pain....but approximately how long does it take...cause it doesnt show up at all under internet servers, only under lan, if i look there.

So i create a server...once in, open console type sv_lan 0 [enter] and heartbeat [enter]. <----thats wat i did, but nothing happens

Are you behind a router firewall? That may be causing problems.

You need a Server Config with:
net_start
sv_lan 0

Works fine by me, with every mod.

Make sure you have these ports open on your firewall.

TCP 27020-27039
UDP 1200,27000-27015

Ok...to clarify on the port forwarding theory, I've always had those TCP ports forwarded.

But when i forward the UDP ports, steam doesnt pick up any servers at all : (

As for the net_start command, still nothing.

I think I'm gonna cry, the only way i see around this, is gettin a dedicated server.

Any suggestions plz....are very, very welcome
