Same here apart from the fact that Oblivion was crappie for me (Just an opinion)[JSC]Steve wrote:The Elder Scrolls 4 - Oblivion. Looks really good but I never played.
My sights when it comes to games are set on 2 things. HL2 Episodes 2 and 3 and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the patriots. Thats reason alone to save up for a PS3. Plus the HL2 + Episodes 1and 2 package is a nice little perk to.

If you run it in HDR. Fraking Laggy[JSC]sam!00! wrote:oblivion is good but LAGGZ!!
put it in BLOOM. It works much better. was able to get my Framerate up from 10 to constant 60 everywhere I got even with like 30 tings on the screen (Hilarity mod FTW!). And I was able to increase my resolution and up the antistropic filtering. trust me. the Bloom in Oblivion is much better than the HDR. this HDR isn't even close to what HL2 uses. Seriouly. All it does is make light in your eyes TOO bright there is no adjusting of light and it makes your hair super shiny. Now Don't get me wrong. I like shiny. but it was ridiculous. You want a better game experience? Set it to bloom.
HDR, bloom? Hah! I don't even have grass! I have to run the whole game with oldblivion since my graphics card doesn't support the dx9 shaders the game uses! All the characters look like plastic and the trees are extremely buggy when they change lod!Chandler wrote:If you run it in HDR. Fraking Laggy[JSC]sam!00! wrote:oblivion is good but LAGGZ!!

well HDR isnt only that you spoke off. It does that dark to light effect but it also supports dynamic light. Anothe rthing it does is brighten and shine very realistic light and make the scenery feel a lot more natural. I would have tought it was only visible if you did the dark to light thing also but after i found a site where it compared diffrent effects it showed how the lighting was so much better.Chandler wrote:If you run it in HDR.
