I started to make this for Empires mod (a map based on an old map I made for C & C Generals called PowerPlant). But I really had little idea about vis and lighting at the time. I stopped work on it to try and learn a little more about Hammer. Hence I moved to making a map for Obsidian. Which may have not been the easiest of choices. One thing I did learn was to full compile mymapfrom the word go! If the oc_warmachine goes ok maybe I'll get back tothis map. Asfor my csmap I atempted to makeohh about five six years ago well thats lost into oblivian!
Havealook if you'vegot nothing better to do

That wouldn't look bad at all with some lightning to it!

Don't we all love fullbright?

Nice,
Decent lighting and these would be pretty awesome maps.

True I put a fair amount of work into it, shame to let it go to waste. I have some other map Ideas in the pipeline, I can probably use stuff from this map. oc_warmachine is really an indoor map. after that I'm going out doors, I've still got alot to learn about using displacements.

You should take the time to learn.
You have very much potential.

Fenrir is right. You have the potential, but not all the technical skills!

Very few have little to learn.

I know a lot about hammer and source mapping, but there is still so much left for me to learn! Never give up!

Everyone who works with hammer can do at least one specific thing very well.
I for instance, within an hour, was able to get a comprehensive grasp on the I/O system. Which is the final polish on a good map.
You seem to excel in brushwork, which will benefit you greatly. Detailed brush work is in some respects is more important than fancy light switches, because it shows the general public progress is happening.

I/O system can be a bit confusing at first look, I'm slowly getting the hang of it!
Its like you read that most people maximum only know about 70% of what Microsoft Word can do !!

Exactly,
in time everyone who sticks to it will eventually level out their abilities.
I just have neither the patience nor the drive to actually begin and finish a mapping project.

Have you already forgotten about Vasili?

A few selected individuals never learn!
