Lost for words I really was, great work guys!!!
Oh which brings me to my two questions, It was hard to find a download for this mod, in the end I had to sign up on boomtown to get it, you think it would be ok to put it on my filfront page, and resubmit it back to filefronts library?
And lastly yes I had a quick play with trying to write mapadd's for borealis
maps, but unfortunately not able to decompile, so I had ago manually but I can see it's a big job. you guys mind if I have ago at it and secondly you think it's possible to achieve? I was wondering if its possible to repakrat alot of the stuff the bsp's need into the bsp's? What you think?
Or is it not very realistic idea?

It was released in feb 2006 I think. But yes I'm a little lazy when it comes to playing new releases.

Don't bother with working on the Borealis maps, we have something planned for them eventually (I started some groundwork). Demo_arctic is a side project of mine that I work on from time to time. I'm surprised you were impressed, I just played the MI maps again a few days ago and I thought they were shit, there's no gameplay, just stuff to look at.

As a first taste, I really enjoyed playing through it and seeing all there is to see. I'd never seen the borealis maps before. And also I enjoyed playing through the demo's, Im not the most dedicated fan of all things halflife, but I was around when the demo videos came out and then the leak, and I remember my dissapointment, when I heard Valve cut alot.
In some ways you are right, I suppose I could say that I was a bit lost in the moment becuse so many things were different, weapons, model's textures, npc's etc. Having said that, I think the maps have great potential, to exsist as a nice story chapter, especially some of the scripted sequences. I would certainly enjoy playing it coop, even as it is, but If you could squeeze some more npc's in the map here and there so the level changes aren't quite so fequent without action. Having said that and no idea what you've planned, I feel these maps can exsist not as gameplay heavy maps but a bit more of a explore and come along for the ride sort of maps. I think the maps are very atmospheric and it's just beg's to be a horror, more zombies/zombines,combine, stalkers, and maybe fast zombies to replace the old stalkers, Whateva, I hope you go through with it.
Whatever you decide, I didn't regret downloading 250 mb to play what I did yesterday. I was impressed and I had fun
Can I add MI to my filefront downloads?

demo_arctic is the only good ''old'' map out there.
There's alot of exploration, there's a snow setting, there's a fantasticly mapped boat, a cave and some combat.

Indeed it sucked ass.
The skybox was shitty and the brushes were extremely blocky.

There are clearly some missing models, and the overused rock models are all aligned in the same position making everything look blocky.
Can't expect much from a 2003 map.

Prop fading.
It's called optimization.
