Maybe some lamp props in the corridors so it won't look like the light is coming from nowhere?

Otherwise these new screens look very promising!

Hmm... There are lamps on the walls (props_combine/breenlight.mdl) i just need to lower the light entities so there wont be that circles of light on the ceiling.

Oh and when i'll get done maybe we could make a test run on your official server?

Make use of spotlights, "dramatic" lighting and shadows is the key to good looking and believable combine architecture.

Here's a little example i can think of right now:
► Show Spoiler
Note how the brightly lit up ceiling over the airlock entrance just doesn't look right, now i just added a truss to the ceiling and..
► Show Spoiler
The shadow it casts from blocking the spotlight makes the whole scene just look a lot better.
Ceilings are usually left in darkness in combine maps and your corridor would look a lot better if the lighting would be placed with more thought about creating atmosphere instead of just being functional.

Edit: also, fog.

Im not so good with placing lights. And by the way : in tight corridors its hard to keep ceiling unlit.

OK! The map has a lot of glitches but i think its ready to make a first run on your server. Areaportals still dont work but during that testplay you could speak out your opinions about certain parts of the map.

Some pics looks quite cool, and you sure u dont have leaks in your map since the areportals do not function? (or that you dint seal off the other side of the portal correct)

I DID sealed the map (it took me 3 hours and 23 detected leaks sealed one by one but i did it)
