OC_Space_Conflict [TITLE MAY CHANGE]

First time i've ever even shown pictures of a map i've done so im not quite sure if ive done the links to the pictures right.
This map will be designed with 'limited lives' in mind to add thrill and realism because the enemies wont be that hard, but
i'll add a trigger to spawn more and harder monsters for those that do want unlimited lives to still keep it a challenge.

Story:
Not much of a story, it's just suppose to be 1 big map to get lost on and hopefully i'll be able to work out how to add random events.

Objectives:
If the HL2 engine allows me, i'm going to make it so bits of the ship your on gets destroyed if you don't do complete the objectives
given (hopefully i can add random events too for replay value) Forcefields will cover up the holes on the ship when bits are blown up.

Pictures:
This map is nowhere near complete, but feel free to point and laugh, any suggestions what i could add too would be great.
Especially for new Architecture ideas.

(Looks abit squashed, thats because i had resolution set at 1440x900 and i had to change it to 800x600 for this... I quite like my walls.)

(As you can see its pretty much plain, but i spent ages on the arch thing around the doors, it kept messing up. Also the doors open up like on Star Trek.)

(Still not fully complete, i'm going to add a little bit of detail later on, It's going to be a big level so i want to get level done before i focus on little detail.)

(Doesn't look like much like the other pictures, but i'm going to add loads of vents to get around ship, I'm doing this so if my 'destroy parts of ship'
works without jerking like buggery, I can get around to different sections that aren't yet broken.

As you said the map looks pretty basic at this point, but I do like the idea. Simple things that may cross your way on a space ship is things such as reactor overheats (minigame?), attacking aliens, asteroids, docking with friendly space craft and random system failure. A lab on the spacestation/ship would be great.

Hope you find something of use! :)

I'll write a couple of them ideas down, i already had plans for some of them you suggested.
I'll try to add as much problems as possible for better randomness.

Oh yeh i've added more pictures and edited abit of my post.
