Basic Story: -Subject to change-
-Players spawn inside the cannon.
-They are informed by the AI that an unknown ship approaches
-Shields are automatically rasied
-*cue the big fancy skybox effects*
-An alien ship is visible in the distance in front of the cannon.
-It begins firing MASSIVE energy weapons at the shields
-All weapon fire from the cannon is deflected by the alien ship's shields
-The shields on the cannon will drain pretty quickly, when depleted the power source must be replaced with another.
-The shields run on ZPM's (concept from stargate, but not related) so for those of you sci-fi nerds like me, we're talkin enough energy to destroy a solar system in each one. The station comes with 8.
-This gives a time crunch, as the shields will not last forever
-Players must decide to either stay and run maintenance on the cannon, or teleport to the alient ship and somehow disable whatever they use for a shield.
-If the shield for the cannon is depleted, it will start taking hull damage. Outer areas, windows and such will be breached and sealed off. The airlock will allow you outside, but that will be lethal.
-Further damage starts to take it's toll on the fusion reactors inside the asteroid. If both are badly damaged, the cannon will have no power and shut down. At that point, hide somewhere and prepare for the end.
-On the flip side, if players manage to board the alien ship, fight there way to the generators, waste it, or at least take it offline temporarily, the alien ship will start taking hits from the ultra-dense projectiles fired from the cannon.
-A few direct hits should do.
Some things I need to finish this map:
-Lots more time
-Valve to fix faceposer and the "bad movetype" horrible error.
-HDR to behave itself
I'll probably also throw in a few "experimental" weapons of my own. Those of you that hacked their way into certain areas of evildead (i'm looking at YOU GTAILLIC) will know what I mean.
And no, i'm not adding a hydra
