Now with college finished I can spend more time learning modeling off the net, here is my latest work.
Just a basic figure right now so not much details.
Question.
If I do become good enough, whats the maximum poly count for source player models?
Welcoming any type of feedback, good or bad

Re: WIP Human Model
Ideal would be 5000-9000
Limit: 13000 (sure? dont remember it exacty). With more it starts to lag.

Re: WIP Human Model
Hey man, nice to see a human being modeled, but before you work on it more. Please don't use mesh smooth.. or any mad smoothing plugins at all It will only give you less control over your mesh
With character modeling it's all about poly flow, I will link you some stuff that will really give you a big boost in the progress
Some really good modeling tutorials (they show different ways of modelling, but you can choose what fits your needs) :
http://www.3dtotal.com/team/Tutorials_3 ... oly_01.php
http://www.secondpicture.com/tutorials/ ... ax_01.html
http://www.poopinmymouth.com/process/ch ... rocess.htm
Some handy theory about face modeling :

I'm sure there's more, but this will give you a nice start
