Re: The Angel Beats! Project [Possible Spoilers]
Any progress of any type about the proyect?
I can start search the weapons that are used in the anime to work with it, if someone wants.

Re: The Angel Beats! Project [Possible Spoilers]
ahh i havent really progressed. Ive been concentrating on my bioshock map. However i released version 1 on saturday. So now im on AB all the way
Incidentally ive been at insomnia43 the last weekend. The UKs biggest LAN event if people dont know. It was bloody excellent, and i also got a few testers for ze_bioshock, as well as some excitement for the angel beats map.

Upload and put it here. This is the problem with those type of proyects, is easy surrender due the complexity.dormantlemom wrote:Big change of plan for me. Im done with it at least for now. Re: The Angel Beats! Project [Possible Spoilers]
Its been a pretty long while, and i got round to looking at my source again. I finished all my other work for now and i plan to get back to it, starting from scratch. Having finally got to univeristy i have plenty of time now for work.
Also pretty much related, this was me at the london anime expo the other day (guess who i am!):

Re: The Angel Beats! Project [Possible Spoilers]
I was looking in the folders that Dorma uploaded. Although most is crap (it can be redone quickly and with better quality like he said), i found random things that i like, like for example the wrecked metro wagon made with propper.
And when you think that you have been seen a big map, heh:
Too big, that is amazing the great look that have with the Anime, and left for make the guild!! (as i saw, he was doing the ladder enter when he uploaded the files). And cool concepts like starting trapped in the tunnel, to later die and respawn in the afterlife.
The bad thing is that needs an UBER optimization, i guess. But curiously, after looking the compile logs, it only took 12 minutes to compile it (high, probably in LDR mode) and with nearly zero problems that makes raise the lag.
And is empty (brush world with plant models and few entities, nothing more). Reminded a lot a HL2 leak map
P.D: There is a ZE version of this map, although the differences are minimum

Re: The Angel Beats! Project [Possible Spoilers]
My days work (the HQ building):
http://www.mediafire.com/?64l52c5wadtdiav
Load in in Counterstrike: Source
Its not entirely accurate (notably the fact that the right part of the building is too narrow), lacks some interior details and plently of sections need correct texturing too
Thanks for the stuff too keychain, its already been a great help.
Lastly theres 2 relevant models floating around the internet that ill post the links to when i find them again, one is kanade tachibana for gmod, the other is yui (havent checked its format yet)

Looks very good (although the windows in the stairs must be moved).
Those two models are the same that we posted here/f0x and Key used.

Re: The Angel Beats! Project [Possible Spoilers]
aye they were, same with some of the textures <3. Great models btw.Maestro Fénix wrote:Looks very good (although the windows in the stairs must be moved).

The windows in the stairs presented a conundrum. I looked through the series again briefly for scenes of this. The stairs are in the correct position, but so are the windows, the the only choice is to either move one to be innaccurate, OR to make the windows visible only from the outside (with present another conundrum of windows only exisiting in the exterior). I said a while back there were so many anomalies with areas, and this was certainly one of them
Also, there was another design choice i had to make. You will have noticed that the right section of the building i made has only 3 rows of windows. not 5. I originally made it with 5, but it didnt look correct, so i made it 3, however it still doesnt look right so again i might remake that with 5

Oh, I forgot to mention that the AB folder I sent you also has a custom window model that was made by Soja.

Aye thanks a lot by the wayKeychain wrote:Oh, I forgot to mention that the AB folder I sent you also has a custom window model that was made by Soja.
Done a lot this week, although admittedly i strayed a bit from the path. I went about producing an interactive boss (kanade ofc) that would chase and attack players (using logic and triggers, not real AI). Its still in progress, but it works OK. Consider it a kind of side attraction
