This mapadd soud good fug,but which map is it?
Please don't take my posts before 2013 too seriously. It will be better for both you and I :c

cs_office is a bit of a tough one very small map, I was thinking assassins though their muzzle flash bug annoys the hell out of me at the moment.

Looks good.
I have an idea: Try putting in some of those pulse machine guns from the HL2 campaign.
I usually run from rockets.
Pretty straightforward.

I don't think he can because mounted guns use brush-triggers which can only be made in hammer, unless fug can find another way of course, so no dice there.

I'm looking at trying to fix up the dod weapon models if no-one else gets to them.


Currently working on:

cs_havana 20%, cs_compound 60%, cs_assault 15% and dod_colmar 20%.

I'd like to add de_aztec, de_train, de_tides and maybe cs_office and who knows what else to my list.

So, today I think its time to show some of the stuff I'm up to. Those darn dev's don't give much away, which is good (makes for a nice suprise). But its nice to show the rest of you that there is much work in progress going on with the mod not just the devs.

At the moment I have a collossal amount of work overlapping.

Maps:

oc_deathrace_scientisthunt (Un-released).
oc_rein (Un-released/not quite dead).
oc_deathball (fixes/additions).
oc_vs_glory (fixes/additions).
oc_blizzard (not quite dead).

Aswell as other stuff I started to map (and oc_warmachine and oc_archive, one day I'll get back to them too) and stuff I want to map.

Mapadds:

cs_compound
cs_havanna
cs_assault
dod_colmar

With plans for others and plus some final fixes on one or two of my exsisting mapadds.

I even started a HL2DM mapadd incase one day if we ever get that in the mounting options. With thoughts of Portal too.

But today I wanted to talk about my dod_colmar mapadd. Simply because its what I've been working on most the past week or so.
I promised I'd get it out this halloween you see, and with 15 days to go.
I might break that promise :cry:

Though on a positive note a few people in and outside our community have really come together and helped me push closer and closer.

So as you can see things are coming along nicely.
I managed to get hold of some w_model fixes for the dod weapons. And the guy has given me permission to use them, though he actually wanted to fix up some things on them first before I can use (So this is a positive reason for the release delay). I actually went through myself and fixed a ton of muzzle flashes and shell ejects on the models.
Gamr748 and Makrontt le necron really helped me out with the use of their scripts. All weapons have correctly fitted icons & all will probably use custom ammo too! Sounds everything works fine.

Completed weapons are:

colt
p38
c96
M1 carbine
Thompson
mp40
Bar
mp44
30cal
mg42

The m1garand and k98 I'm just having trouble with getting the muzzle flash correctly in position

The springfield and k98 scoped need some w_model fixing.

That's pretty much all, I'd love to add the m1garand_grenade launcher and grenades - But obsidian needs some code fixing before they can work. And even one day I'd love to see coded custom rocket launchers.

Now as you can see the mapadd runs is in Black and White (mat_hsv 1)
I've checked and a _cfg file will allow it to change the client on mapload without the need for cheats. The _cfg will just have to go in the .res file.
It only screws up in game if you enable cheats and then disable cheats.

Also The 'late' Blues has made me a custom screen overlay so a filmgrain effect can be applied to your screen. (I'm having trouble seeing it on my machine but Vasili tested it and it works for him, so I think my oc needs reinstalling (my oc folder is a real mess, it's got lost coast content pasted all over it)).

And onto the next part, Blues is also helping to turn dod player models into npc_zombie's so I can make good use of these custom skins I made.
He's actually run out of steam and is working on other things. So If someone/anyone wants to help and they can rig, please I'd really, really would like to have dod soldier's a npc_zombies.

I'd be happy for just two zombie variants, american_assault & german_assault. I've got XSI installed I'm just not brave enough or havent found the time to learn the tool and then learn a rigging tutorial.
But if no one helps then darn it I will.

Oh and also I have found two dod models that are re rigged as citizens, I have some troubles with them, but If I can I'll have them in too.

Yeah, I really need/want them.

On a related note, been working on the citizen model replacement.
It's still very WIP (gotta try sort the npc muzzleflash out).
