have you seen the mod Underhell for hl2 yet? they have a night day system that uses color correction to get the atmosphere right although it might be tricky for a novice in hammer, also mappers don't use carve ever. I find it wasteful on brushfaces.

I agree carve isnt very effective and it causes problems, but it seems to work well enough if used appropriately (the carved area is only a few holed for windows and the building will be redone anyways).

And no i havent seen it, ill take a look. This project has no definitive timescale, so i can learn more about cc and other more advanced elements if it looks promising, such as advanced particle effects and the million other entities and their variables

You don't see nighttime very often in Angel Beats anyway. Mostly daytime and sunset/sunrise.

Time for another update. No internet again for the last too weeks and steam wont let me use the SDK. Hopefully fixed soon. However I got some work done, including progress on a kanade model (xenoaisams work is very helpful).

Other than that, little progress and probably little will be done till mid june, then I get 4 month holiday.

Unrelated but any UK people here? If so anyone attending i43 in august?

Little progress for me as well unfortunately. Too busy doing other things. Not giving up on this project though. T^T

Hello everyone.
Nice to see a project going on here, which people are assisting you, I would love to help, but im still learning/practicing. I happened to come across a good site for picture references for modelers out there who are helping :)
http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Angel_Beats!

Due to link taking it an emtpy page, be sure to put the ! at the end of it.

You could provide such models? All I need AT PRESENT is a kanade model that isn't insanely blocky. Probably needed later are other weapons including nodas axe, though these I can create if it comes to it.

Update:
Began work on otonashis train wreck tunnel area. I aim to now perfect map area in order of visitation. Also done massive conversions of brushes to entities (thanks christ for propper)

It was easy port from 3DCG. Now, only lefts re-rig her to Source (i think that is not necesary make her faceposeable, is only a placeholder).
