The DEVs have been working on it since the first day Source "2013" was released. In fact, even earlier, when the first SteamPipe updates started to give problems with the mod.

They never stopped working, is just VALVe making impossible do propper releases with their constant updates breaking everything. Why do you think the mod is trying to get into Steam since 2010, or why it wasn't possible to achieve a new release at the end of 2013?

An example is the last SteamPipe update, who killed the mount system (and even the default HL2 content). The lead programmer developed (and keeps working on it) a batch script which restores the system. Is hard, it requires a precious time, and is only a "temporal fix".

And before you say "But other mods made it into 2013 and even on Steam, and with less time of work!", think that OC exists since 2006, so it has a huge volume of code that must be checked and ported (although I recognize that with the Synergy case, they did well on the lastest two years, from a near dying mod, to returning into their pre-Steam age).

Disclaimer: This point of view comes to someone close to the team, but not from someone that is INSIDE of it, so I have no idea what's the current state of the work. Of course, in the case certain information would be available for ours (beta testers), we aren't allowed to said a word of it. You only need to know one thing: They are working hard.

Hey I don't know if any of you guys remember me, but I used to play OC a heap back in like 2007-2009'ish era. I played a big part in the creation and was a mod of the "xtreeme Aus Society" server that my mate and I used to run, and I don't think I can express enough how no game nor mod I have played since has quite lived up to the experience I had in this mod. Whether it was nostalgia, the fact that this is simply a brilliant mod or what I don't know, but they're memories I constantly think back to, and miss quite a lot, and would love to get re-involved in this community.

Anyway because of this I decided to return here, thinking it'd be a dead mod- but it seems that's not the case; and because of how great of a game this was (and I presume still is) I was wondering if you guys needed assistance with anything? Testing or the like? Because I'd be more than willing to help play a part in seeing this mod become more than it's ever been, and if I can help more people reach the joys of the classic oc_harvest or umizuri I remember, then it's going towards a damn good cause as far as I'm concerned.

Sorry, I know off topic, my apologies, but it was the most recently active thread, and therefore I figure has the highest chance of being seen.

EDIT: Hah, I had a warning? They last a while... wonder what for.
I prefer Dogs over cookies, But i couldn't eat a whole one.

If it's about being seen, nearly any place would do, the usual area's rarely light up... (only if there's actual activity~)

Don't suppose I can get a download for the most current version? It's been 7 months since you said the steam version was coming but I can't find anything.

It's a hard chance that they recreated the whole entire entity. Only edits need to be made for it to set the view to all players.

It's fully working in multiplayer, even in 1.35. Can be activated for either every player or a specific player/s.
