Converting these Timesplitters models for OC...
Hiya, I suppose there quite a few people who have played or heard of Timesplitters, no?
For thoce who don't know, Timesplitters is a series of 3 PS2 (but later, even Gamecube and XBOX) FPS games based on AND created by the guys who made Goldeneye 64 and Perfect Dark. The gameplay is the same as Goldeneye, but the story takes you to different eras from way back during the 1850's, to the far future of 2401. And ofcourse, the plots main antagonist is a species of wicked time travelling aliens known as TimeSplitters, and the people who has to face up against them.
While the game is not famous for it's story it IS famous for it's hilarious multiplayer, consisting of insane levels, weapons (like throwing bricks at enemies) and characters (gingerbread men, robofishes, flying whales badass cyborgs, and mooooooore)...
recently, someone posted three of the characters from TimeSplitters 2 (well, 2 heroes and one common enemy) so I wondered if anyone was interested in porting them to OC?

I don't have Garry's Mod, so I can't download them.

Ah, I remember that game, fun times.
Maybe if no one else takes up the challenge, I'll do it. Or, maybe I could download and re-upload them(to a different host) for you to do?

And I wish Boroko could help, but he got private issues at the moment.
Also, we need someone who can port models from PS2 games...

Re: Converting these Timesplitters models for OC...
Often "converting" models from other Source games doesn't require real modeling knowledge. You basically decompile a model and recompile it with a few lines of QC code rewritten, only sometimes does it require you to open it in a 3D modeling package to convert it.
In general though(unrelated to this topic), more coders and modelers would be nice, but so would more animators and texture artists. More is always better as long as the quality is not degrading, but sadly there are not always talented people out there interested in this mod(or any, not hate'n on OC). It's hard to come by experienced people, it's even harder to get them to devote their free time and resources to your cause(mod) unless they want to.

I think a mod that can feature ANY kind of scenario or event would be pretty cool to work with in my opinion. :S

Say, come to think of it, some of thoce models on the pics look like they are of different sizes... could this be an issue in OC?
