Don't see why you're criticizing L4D2 for its bullet weapons being the same. Of course they are, what else are you expecting them to do?

Look at what they did to S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky with its guns compared to Shadow of Chernobyl. Shadow of Chernobyl had shootouts perfect but when they made Clear Sky they decided to make it where if you aimed for someone's head with a pistol from like 15 meters away, the bullet's gravity increases like 3 times and you hit them in the foot.
