Left 4 Dead mob scream in Half Life?

I myself dont know where this howie scream originated from so...

I'm keeping an eye out for sounds that are familiar and such.

Nickelodeon the TV station used to use that scream for almost every show on their channel.

Well, what shocked me the most about it wasn't that it was re-used, but so random. It's like they just threw the sound in for no reason at all. It didn't fit the environment or anything.

Well, the Howie Scream was used on Nickelodion's show "Ahhh! Real Monsters!"
EDIT: Oh, you were talking about the mob scream.
I first heard it thanks to the Mani Admin Plugin.
