Apart of that, the only "official" news that we know is that the beta starts on October, and is a open one.

Well, if they are adding that in, hopefully it works like intended.

The beta will start with only people who have codes for the beta. This does NOT mean that you'll be able to immediately play if you bought CSS during the winter solstice of 2005 or whatever.

The beta will slowly be expanded out from it's initial player base to an outright open beta, but will start with, again, only people who have beta keys. Said beta keys can only be gained from PAX, Eurogamer Expo, or generous Valve staff.

Only reason TF2 went F2P is because it has a store which continues to make sales more than sales from people buying the game. Hence Classic still being purchase only. This will have a price tag, dunno if it will be $60, I wouldn't be surprised if it was $30-$40.

Well, cuz they have left 4 dead. What's the point of making a zombie gamemode if you have a zombie game? But I bet they'll murder surf and bhop, seeing as they tried to do it in the last CS:S patch before their offices were flooded by tears. But this time, I'd stay inside kids, there be a mighty rage storm a-brewin'.

Why would a company put one product against another product, both of which they made? Not only that, but CS:GO would not only be a zombie game, but also a lot of other mods and even more user-created mods, leaving l4d in the dust. And zombie mod is just more fun than left 4 dead. Besides, it would take tons of new models and animations and such that aren't necessary for CS:GO to sell. Hell, I'd give it 2 months before someone already makes a fully working zombie mod with all the fancy models and stuff, and Valve knows that too. Less work and the same product comes out of it.
