Hey all
One of the two projects I plan to work on while at university is the overview map-stitch-up (Havent thought of a name yet) seen here http://www.obsidianconflict.net/forums/ ... php?t=2961. The second project is SSL (Steam Server Launcher) which is a server launching program where you input all your server configurations like map, map rotation, timelimit, region, etc and it will churn out a server config and launch a dedicated/non-dedicated server for you.
It will be mod customisable (so for OC, HL2, CSS and other popular mods) and basically I just some of your ideas as what you have most of your problems on or what you will like to see in the program. This way I can make a basic outline without having to rebuild it so many times.
Pictures will come soon once I start on a beta build, testing will go out to particular people only so no requests for now.
Steam Server Launcher (SSL) *CLOSED*
Steam Server Launcher (SSL) *CLOSED*
Project cancelled (Got other things on my mind for now)

Not sure what you mean by thisRocketRunner wrote:Well, I don't mean to sound rude, but what if you step on Valve's toes in the process?
To be honest I may take a simple route and make the program churn out a cfg file and then run the mod accordingly doing so with the config file but if you do have any ideas feel free to post[FTA]c0m4ndo45 wrote:So if i get it right you're going to program something to launch a server with most of the stuff addons, which we usually have to configure manually, do?
Sounds like fun.
I'm a c++/java programmer. I'd be curious to see how that works...
