Hey Random problem *as much as you guyz may want to diss the multi player thingy for hl2 that you can use a gui for a server, (had to edit due to word filtering) i would like to use the dedicated srcds with a gui on it : p
every time I try to launch one for oc it says c:program/gameinfo.txt is missing
can someone please help ?

I may aswell be the first...don't use the GUI, it dosen't work.

hey is there an easy fix for the server max player limit.. I tried using a random dll to fix it for hl2dm but it didnt work any advice

Yeah I like it too... There is a simple fix to use the Greeeeenland steam dedicated server (or any steamworked source mod I guess) : move your steam folder to c:
Mine was in C:\Program Files and I had the same "c:\program\gameinfo.txt" missing error when I tried to run OC server, so I figured some part of the server did not like spaces in directory names.
And before someone yells at me for not using the holy hldsupdatetool + srcds combo : I like hosting games when I play with friends with steam dedicated server. It is easier tp set up, avoids duplicating game contents on disk AND does not freeze everyone whenever I need to alt-tab out of the game or the game crashes (not related to alt-tabbing whatsoever).

just use the team fortress 2 dedicated server, it also supports sourcemods...
i don't get it why everyone wants to run it over the synergy dedicated server
by the way: enclose the path with "" like: "C:\Program Files" and the spaces don't bother anymore... (yay high for start up parameters)
