Why do you need hdr in a dark map like tantrum?

Its a problem, bsppack is most likely used to pack all those cubemaps you made into the bsp.

Since I got my new computer there is no need to run in anything else than HDR and I'm 100% sure I build the cubemaps in HDR mode. The problem is probably that the cubemaps don't get packed into the bsp? It's strange though that I haven't heard of anyone else than worfox who have had this problem.

I've tried to update the sdk content but nothing changed. Got any other suggestions?

Go to the reactor room. Look up in the middle of the reactor and compare what it looks like in LDR compared to HDR. There you have a big part of the answer. Also, HDR gives even the darkests maps a better look.

Are you really really sure that the bsppack.dll could have something to do with packing stuff into a bsp?

No, I'm not totally sure, but I can make guesses just as you can.

I haven't found a final solution to the problem, but what I did find were my cubemaps in '...obsidian/materials/maps/oc_tantrum_b2'. This means I can use pakrat for packing my cubemaps into the bsp, doesn't it?

This is why I don't have any problems with them cubemaps.
