imolater was cut out as well as everything else that made the game great, please don't get me started on the whole hl2 beta thing >.>(i am a hl2 beta FANATIC and would prefer not to bring that into this thread)

Dude,the NPC was called cremator,the gun he was carrying was called the immolator.

well its not the fact it was never used, its just that somebody leaked the source code and valve decided to trash all the good stuff, and start all over again. there was even the combine guards, second most powerful being in hl2.

i hate those guys.
in the past i played a different mod and lets say they had them the combine guards.
i forgot the name of the mod but i think i stopped playing it cause the mod died suddenly.

They didn't actually trash most of that stuff because of leak. Some of the stuff were either too ridicilous or a bit too corny even for HL standarts

Most of the cool stuff that MUST HAVE MADE into game were cut beacuse of "STREAMLINE GAMEPLAY LOL!" sh*t and well... some of the stuff were placeholders, especially those C. Guards right out of Quake 2.

Funneh I saw screenshots of C.Guard gun somewhere for the current OC beta

Yeah,the Guard Gun is a admin wepon in OC.
