Need help Modeling Props and Physical Objects for your Maps.

Forcing custom textures

I'm tired of having a urban camo HGrunt in the desert. Is there anyway there can be a feature added to tell the game to look for a NPC's textures in a specified folder instead of the default one directed by the .mdl? I want high resolution desert camo for my hgrunts dammit!

The only thing that i can think is decompilate the Hgrunt model, change the material path to add the yours, and compile to do it.


Add an option for check for custom textures would be great (remember that you can "change" the voices/sound of an entity overriding it with a map soundscript).

pack the textures in the map's bsp
