Your welcome, It din't take too much effort to get it together, I'm pleased with the quantity that I manage to get hold of, I think I've done the right thing by asking mappers permission, although I've started to realise that many other mod mappacks out there people don't really bother anymore to ask. I'll stick with asking I think. The only problem is not tracking the map author down but working out who made the maps in the first place.

Next dealine for Mappack 2 is 05/08/07 !!!!!

If you have a newer version of a map that was already included in Mappack 1, by all means send it for inclusion, as always the more the merrier!

I'm hoping to get all my wip and the final version of warmachine included, so hopefully I'll have 5 maps done and dusted! then I'm off to Iceland on holiday!

Well, The second map pack deadline was a bit unrealistic, so I will release a mappack maybe in a couple more months hopefully there will be a few new maps around.

As for the first mappack it was released a month and a half ago and I think it has been worth it. so here's my stats from filefront I have no Idea how many downloads there were from the other mirror sites that were added these are just the stats from filefront.

Obsidian Community Mappack 1 (171 mb) 100 downloads
Obsidian Community Mappack Part A (82 mb) 54 downloads
Obsidian Community Mappack Part B (89 mb) 43 downloads

So almost a 150 downloads for the Mappack just on filefront

Also

Obsidian Mapadd Starter Pack (7 mb) 11 downloads

All in all I'm very pleased with the results

So As Always I will be open to any Map submissions over the next couple of months

Well It seems I think I deleted the main pack from filefront? I'm not sure how but its certainley not there anymore.

The good news is that the mappacks in total came to around nearly 500 downloads.

So I'm accepting submissions for a new up to date pack!

Yes a map pack for the new version would be great!

Possibly one with all the high-quality maps? It's hard to tell which ones are the good ones, so a pack with all the good ones would be awesome.

OK Just to let everyone know i'll be releasing a map packs on the 1st September 2008 (01/09/2008).

The Map packs will come in a few flavours:

Good Maps (prehaps decided by a poll?)
New Maps
(prehaps everything new and hopefully compatible with latest version of the mod).
All Maps

And prehaps maps where the authors have disappeared I cannont contact or do not reply to emails/ PM's

Basically I want to give as much as possible but in some sort of organised manner, last map pack was a bit of a shambles.

Also to those that contributed to the last map pack I assume its ok to use the maps again and I'd hope you'd let me know if you have anything new to offer. Beta maps will be accepted and included in one of the map packs for sure if not more depending on quality.

I've already PM'd a lot of mappers and have permission for a lot but I'll be sending out some more pm's here and there!

Please bare in mind I'm no dev so this is always a bit of an un-official map pack. And dev's let me know if you want anything cut and saved for official release.

I'll be posting a list of propsed maps and versions in the coming weeks ( 2max).
