Hi, I'm here to steal Beanbrains' thunder.

I'm the guy who has been making a few models (battery, gold, crystals, etc) although Bean is starting to get sick of me asking for work.

Ask me to model stuff for the map so I can force it on him!

What do you mean application?

If anyone is interested, I use Maya 2010 for geometry/UVing, export as obj, use Milkshape to set up the textures and export as smd.

apllication means you go to the 'applications' section of the forums and open a thread called something like "Modeler"
in there you write something like:

"hi i'm vesuvian and i'd like to be part of the oc team as a modeler.
i've already made this stuff:
*insert stuff you already made*

i'll be awaiting your response :) "

perfect application there :P

I see, I thought you meant software!

I'll need to think about it, I have a lot of work on. The modelling I'm doing for Bean is kinda procrastination!

I think i found the cause of the random crashes, to do with pods not letting people out sometimes. I read a warning that deactivating a game_ui when its already deactivated will crash the game, which might happen if people exit the UI while still in the pod.

about the ragdoll version, i might introduce one whilst making an animated version of that perch... :P

weird thing is: i set the surface property to 'flesh' so when you shoot it there's some blood. somehow that means that you can't pick it up with the gravgun either. only +use works... now i'm trying to find a way to get rid of that...

that game_ui crash thing is fixed in 1.35, it only happens when someone is in using game_ui and then disconnects (it want's to send a warning but the message calles pPlayer which isn't on the server anymore because the player just left DOH!)

so if it's the cause then it will be gone with 1.35

Ah, so the workaround i just finished was unneeded? Oh well.

I'm pretty sure you are right about the leaving thing because someone was being rather bad at driving the big boat, said F*** IT!, then the server abruptly crashed. Sounds like the kind of thing someone would say when quitting :P.

Also, argh, getting on a ladder fires a triggers endtouch output, kind of screws up something i was making.

Also also, the console spews "Entity 64 (class 'func_breakable') reported ENTITY_CHANGE_NONE but 'm_iHealth' changed." quite a bit, is this anything to worry about?
