29/04/10: I am remaking this map. The new one will have:
- Animating invaders
- Movement like in the real one
- Reset button
- (Maybe) a "player versus player" mode
This map is a recreation of the game "Space Invaders" in Source. It has all sounds from the game and 2 players. Kill all of the aliens before they cross the line.

It has to be, I really wasn't expecting a map like this.
When I get around to the next map pack can I include your map (w/e version it's at when I release the pack)?
I'll make sure your on the credits list.

Also back to topic,this sounds cool,but this may be a problem if there more than 2 players.

Why would there be problems with more than 2 players? If you mean people not wanting to let others to play in their place, then that is a problem. Otherwise there isn't anything else.

You should maybe set up multiple Space Invaders games and seperate the players into teams of 2. Then at the end when one team has won because everyone else failed and was overwhelmed earlier than them you make a text show up "Team 1 wins".
(Actually I've never played Space Invaders and thus don't know if that kind of gameplay would be appropriate)

Well indeed you caught us in surprise here. Very interesting work! Allways good to see new small maps, they add some variety and can be fun to play with friends if well-designed.

It depends how much you want to work on the map.
Currently if you loose there is no game_end entity to change the level and no way of restarting the game without reloading the map. The game_end I can live without as most inteligent server ops have decent voting systems. So my only issue is that it would be nice to have the ability to restart the game once the game is lost or won.
If you did want to work more perhaps the ability for atleast 4 and maybe 8 max players. You could have some system that counts the players playing and increase the scroll speed accordingly.
Or going on what blues said Red vs Blue (Though I much prefer how you have it now in its glorious classic form

).
So besides the restart thing, I love it.

You may need to add some things to this map.
Looks good, but I'm curious as to how the hell you made this.

I decided that I'm going to remake this map. This time it will actually have animating invaders and will move like they are supposed to. Will add a reset button and maybe a "player versus player" mode.
