Played last night on dark device with a few of you, I enjoyed playing and it was really first online test of the mapadds.
Although they are playable there are a few issues I'll try to address soon ish.

Things to do:

Add much more info about the clue finding part to the mission, more messages describing what clue to look for at relevant times, plus more info in as many places as possible regarding clues, like briefing.txt and ingame env_messages point messages.

Ammo on kalt to get players through sewer section easier.

And I'll probably start player on colmar with a starting set of pistols as new players to the map are lost and really the early stages of the map are crucial. (I last night by the time I loaded into the map, the zombies were kicking the crap out of grigori, the friendly npcs were all dead, players were running around weapon less like headless chickens, and before I knew it map was failed).

Get the sniper rifles into mapadds.

Once I fix all this I think I'll make another mapadd for dod:s but a basic shoot'em all style.

In the zombies, the hands (look weird that only the hands are deformed and not the rest of the body). In the weapons, i made it more like in DOD:S (fixed some bugs, changed two models, adjusted their settings....).

I understand this perfectly, I've only played Colmar once in DarkDevice; Griggori got killed as players didn't have weapons and didn't know what to do.

This will update the weapon scripts of the mapadd. It will make it more like in DOD:S (but some weapons doesnt have their original second attack due the limitations of the Weapon Script system). The most significative changes are the remplacement of the K98 and the M1 Garand for the K98 Scoped and the Sprinfield.

With the scripts it comes the zombie models with the hands fixed. I dont know why, but it makes crash the maps (strange), so i only left it in the pack for if one day someone discover the problem.

Thanks for the help.

I'll add the k98 scoped and springfield as seperate weapons as the k98 and M1 garand were working fine (no point cutting/replacing, better to add weapons).

As for the zombies I dont think it possible to fix hands without the crash. Pleased you tried and included for someone else to fix though hope people dont use the ones that crash.


2 days ago my laptop screen cracked under the pressure of my almighty thumb. I've watched a few Utube vids and I'm going to by a replacement and install myself. So I'm sort of out of action for a week or two. I've got old laptops and can hook my current laptop to a tv but I can sit in a comfortable position to crunch away at hammer. BRB...

Carrying it around by the top corner of the screen... :( £60 for a replacement.

My thumb is rather large, and obviously does not know its own strength.

While i was experiment with the untoten map, i found that the K98 scoped and the Springfield have wrong world models (when you drop it, it disappear and doesnt have a collision model). I fixed this, and it will added to the "weapon update" in the few days.

No idea why, but looks like all the weapons changed misteriously. Putting down all the links of the weapon update until i fix it.

You're better of adding them as seperate weapons, .vmfs are there if you're really interested.

Also add the pistols to spawnitems on the colmar mapadd if you do decide to update.

I downloaded this on a DarkDevice server, the kalt one, but I can't find it in my maps, it states it's there in the map folder in my sourcemods directory, but it's not there in-game

Please help, I wanted to play it but a guy rtv'd because he hated it.

The map itself is not in your maps folder, because the mod takes the original one from the GCF of DOD:S. You download the mapadd and the content of the map.

To play it, open the console and put map dod_kalt. You should be able to play it.
