Delete everything related to hgrunt in your models folder.

Worked for me. Now they look like the HL:S grunts.

That's kind of sad actually.
The "locked" state of the model probably had something to do with this.

Interesting, I will change this around as well for 1.23, it really wasn't done properly, but I didn't think it would matter
. Edit: I looked into this more, it was done really poorly and could indeed have been the cause of the lag. It should be much more optimized now.

Yes, that looks like it would lag on slower computers.

Lag or studder? We fixed the studder already, or at least hope we did.

Looks like Romka's models are not optimized for multiplayer games, shame.

No, not the models, the code that decrypts them. Even though it never effected many others, on a slower machine it could cause the CPU to slow down for some constant complex math processing.

I noticed my console was being spammed with errors dealing with models/hgrunt so I moved them all on a folder to my desktop.
That's the story.

Actually not...most modellers are having these kind of problems. I guess Valve is not considering to share their optimization codes with the community.
I mean their models are working great in game (both SP and MP) but look at our models...they seem to have (uknown) problems.

Well, I changed a couple more things that were not optimized too, so I think it should still be fixed in 1.23.
