They have the gasmask dude, a dude with a big shield over his face and a normal helmet guy, but they come in 1 - 3 skins.

As you can tell the original player models have slightly more variety and WAY less anonimity than the new ones.

Its a mod for unreal tournament 2004 called Evarena:

Only a demo of it came out unfortunately but the guy who made it ported the player models to unreal tournament 3.

Some Battle Grounds 2 screenshots here. I tried BG2 a while ago and it didn't seem very fun, however recently there has been servers set up that enforce line battles between both teams. Basically how it works is that one player on each team with a mic is designated the leader who chooses the path, and players all follow the person in front of them to form a giant snake of players on each team. The leader then shouts over the mic when to stop/aim/fire etc. There's always admins on whenever the server is up so whenever someone breaks a rule they get kicked, so it isn't as badly griefed as you would think. The teamwork ends up being really great for public servers, and creates some awesome situations.

Yeah I used to enjoy this mod, and yeah I always enjoyed a good line-up.

Though really a two line assault should be used to gain graound to the enemy.

Front line crouches and fires whilst second line is reloading then the second line moves through the first line crouch fires and repeat.

I was actually really fraking good at battlegrounds for a while. One of the few shooters i could do well at. Actually forming battle lines and having skirmishes where everyone didnt run around limp-dick retarded was actually really fun.
