Its the ATI trouble dont choose the fix, have dynamic mounting and load a non-mount required map then changelevel or disconnect and join a server, you should be ok for dynamic mounting until next time you close reopen the mod.

I have the same issue, yeah just reconnecting a few times works for me. Makes me want to strangle myself.

here is a MUCH SIMPLER way to do it,

when it happens, go to console and type mat_bumpmap 0

then when you switch map, go ahead and type in mat_bumpmap 1.

Never tried that way, though technically its a longer process than what I said: simply loading a map and then disconecting and joining.

The ATI fix, going from the description, won't work on maps that require more than one mount at once.

I wouldn't know, I've never used it.

Dynamic Mounting all the way.

I can live with the work around of, loading/changing level before intended map/server.

too bad that 1.4 will be out anytime soon, i really got some nice ways to get around that ATI problem (but i can't just apply it to the current code...)
